THE NORTH AMERICAN SOCA MONARCH

DJ Chris Nice & Team NASM are pleased to present, the North American Soca Monarch competition. This
is an outdoor festival taking place at a North American location yet to be released to the public. We are
excited to bring this most important event to the North American region to showcase our celebration of
artistic talent and cultural diversity.

The theme of The North American Soca Monarch competition is to have some of the Top International
Caribbean/Soca Artists (8 Groovy Soca / 8 Up-Tempo Soca) with a hit record in heavy rotation (on radio,
with mobile Djs and high online views) in North America, compete for the title of the number one
Caribbean artist in North America, in front a large multicultural audience in attendance from across the
globe. Participants will be competing for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the Groovy Soca and Up-Tempo Soca
Category, as well as bragging rights for soca supremacy in North America.

The North American Soca Monarch will play a large role in showcasing the artists and art form of
Caribbean/Soca Music across the globe. This event will showcase artists from the USA, Canada and
several Caribbean countries. Bringing this most important event to North America can only assist in the
growth of Caribbean music and serve as another avenue to further expose this multicultural musical art
form that is expanding annually, making North America the perfect location to host this event. This event
will be advertised globally online through several media and marketing outlets.

De Next Generation Competition:

There will also be a special segment during the event titled De Next Generation Competition that will
highlight North America’s up and coming Soca artists. There will be 2 semi finals for De Next Generation
competition a week before the North American Soca Monarch, in both Canada and the United States. The
2 winners emerging from each region will then compete for De Next Generation Competition finals, on
the grand stage at the North American Soca Monarch, alongside the industry icons. This most important
competition is a great opportunity for an up and coming artist to gain international exposure.

We thank you in advance for your support and look forward to doing our part in assisting with the growth
of Caribbean/Soca music, one of the most dynamic and multicultural musical art forms in the world.
